As Jack Johnson wraps up the final leg of his “Sleep Through The Static Tour” we wanted to take a moment to recognize some of our very talented friends whose imagery graced the LED visual display that provided the backdrop during the shows.
Thomas Campbell ... artist, filmmaker, photographer, skater, surfer, superpal and highly skilled doodler. Thomas has been a longtime friend of Brushfire and Jack and is the visionary behind the album cover images on both “In Between Dreams” and “Sleep Through the Static”. Thomas has also released a few surf films including “The Seedling”, “Sprout” (dvd/soundtrack available in the Brushfire Store) and coming soon, “The Present”. Thomas can also be seen in the recent released “Beautifiul Losers” documentary. (photos by Janella Fox)
Dave Homcy ... photographer, cinematographer, surfer, chef extraordinaire, jack look-a-like and super good pal. Dave Homcy has been contributing his stunning images to the Brushfire and Woodshed world for years. He has shot photos of Jack, ALO, Zach Gill, Matt Costa and is regularly in the creative mix on many Brushfire Related projects and films. Just to name a few, he has worked on the films “Shelter”, “A Brokedown Melody” (dvd/soundtrack available in the Brushfire online store), “Jack Johnson- Live in Japan” and recently “Sliding Liberia” . Giles Dunning ... photographer, cinematographer, fashion icon and all around funny guy (with really awesome hair). Giles has been one of the key players behind the camera on quite a few Brushfire artist video shoots (as well as many other Malloy Brother directed projects including a few White Stripes videos). He has worked on “Jack Johnson and friends- Live at the Greek” and an upcoming documentary called “180 Degrees South”. (photo by Janella Fox)
